You don´t need to run, to catch the wind and the sun!

In the end of May, the artist Alison Aune from Duluth, Minnesota  https://www.alisonaune.com/   and her daughter Linnea spent some wonderful days in Dalarna, and I´m glad I could share some of those days together with them. They really know how to make others bloom! A richness of contacts has slowly been developed for me ever since 2004. In July I had  Folkart painters Kim Garett https://northhouse.org/instructors/kim-garrett and Bonnie Selje, from Minnesota, on a  one day class in my studio, for teaching the old painting technique ”Dricka målning”. It was our third meeting since 2018, and of course it was so nice to share my knowledge to theese skilled and open hearted Folkart painters. And on top of this, it was so greatful to once again have the oppotunity to teach the two Westerheim Goldmedalists Carol Bender  https://vesterheim.org/exhibit/carol-bender/  and Pam Rucinski https://vesterheim.org/exhibit/pam-rucinski/ old painting techniques. This time they came to me for two days in September, to study and practice to paint with ”Egg oil tempera” and ”Template painting/Schablonmålning”. Theese lovely and high skilled painting friends was granted for an amazing Sweden Tour they have posted on https://www.facebook.com/ScandinavianFolkArtPainter?refid=17 This summer I missed to meet Pieper Bloomqvist https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057696589880 a very productive and popular artist, when she visited Dalarna with her husband. But I´was so glad to have her on a class in my studio last summer. An artist with a flower’s luminosity! It is a fantastic privilege, to be able to share my little world of colors, brushes and knowledge together with painters from the other side of the Atlantic. A true cross-fertilization!
